Hire terms

These are the terms for hiring tubs from us. We've kept them short and in plain English. By booking, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Tubs NI is run by Davidson Management, Northern Ireland. You can contact us at hello@tubsni.com or on WhatsApp.

2. Booking and payment

• Your booking is confirmed once you've paid in full and we've emailed you a confirmation.
• The price you see when you book includes the tubs, dollies, labels, delivery and collection.
• Your hire runs from your delivery date to your collection date.

3. Delivery and collection

• We'll deliver and collect on the dates you choose. We'll message you if anything changes.
• You don't need to be home. Tell us a safe place to leave the tubs, such as a porch, garage or driveway. Once we've left them there, they're your responsibility.
• For collection, please have the tubs empty, lids closed, and stacked where we can easily reach them.
• If we can't get to the tubs on your collection day, we'll arrange another day. A further week's hire may be charged (see section 5).

4. Changing or cancelling

• You can change or cancel your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before your delivery date. We'll refund you in full.
• If you cancel less than 48 hours before delivery, we'll keep £20 to cover our costs and refund the rest.
• Once the tubs have been delivered, we can't refund unused days.
• If we have to cancel for any reason, we'll refund you in full.

5. Extending your hire

Need longer? Message us before your collection date. Extra weeks cost £49 each. If the tubs aren't ready on your collection day and you haven't arranged an extension, we may charge for an extra week.

6. Looking after the tubs

• Use the tubs for packing and moving your belongings.
• Please don't put more than 25 kg in a tub, or use them for anything wet, hazardous, flammable, or for rubbish and food waste.
• Don't write on the tubs or stick anything on them other than the labels we provide.
• The tubs remain our property, so please don't lend them to anyone else.

7. Lost, damaged or dirty tubs

Normal wear and tear is fine. If something is lost, broken or comes back very dirty, we'll send you photos and explain any charge before we take payment:

• Lost or broken tub: £20 each
• Lost or broken dolly: £40 each
• Tub that needs extra cleaning: £5 each

8. Your belongings

The tubs are for moving your things, not insuring them. We're not responsible for the contents of the tubs, so check that your home or contents insurance covers your belongings during a move. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

9. Your rights

These terms don't affect your legal rights as a consumer. If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we'll do our best to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
